Forming of Khnum #1,

A new chapter in my search for light has begin,  I have formed a Lodge in my hometown of Hopewell, Va.  Khnum #1, Most Worshipful Consolidated Hiram Grand Lodge of Va.  Past few month's have been interesting and enlighten.  Most of our younger brothers have no clue what freemasonry is all about.  Some say we worship the devil! Even though my 4 years as a mason, I have never meet one person that worship the devil.  Mostly all Christian brothers and sisters.  Trying to do the right thing within our communities.  Khnum #1 intro... 

You never change things by fighting the existing reality.  To change something.  Build a new model that make the existing model obsolete.

Change is a natural and healthy thing if the impulse comes from within and if the change progresses our Institution. Change for change’s sake or changes brought about by pressure from outside is not. Nor is clinging to outmoded customs and practices simply because they are old. I would not advocate a modernisation programme simply to remove old customs but there are often things which we do in Freemasonry which work against us today and we continue to do them in a mistaken belief that they have always been done that way when an examination of their origin shows that they are, in fact, relatively new in historical terms. Complacency is an enemy in any part of life. The attitude that “it will do because it always has done” is a killer. We need to stop every generation and look at ourselves to see what needs to be done to preserve our Institution for future generations.

Partnership is not a principle, but a relationship between persons who share in a common enterprise, involving common risks, common privileges, and common responsibilities. Everything depends on the reality of our partnership with one another and of each of us with God.
